Today, portions of the island are considered a National Park, including the western part of the island, the Big Lake, the Small Lake and Soline Bay. Additional notes

Due to specific requirements in some of the harbours, it is possible that ships will be tied sideways to each other and that passengers will need to transfer from one ship to another in order to get to the coast. Please be careful when transferring from ship to ship, and should you need assistance the crew members will be glad to provide assistance.

The captain retains the right to modify the sailing route at any moment.

Air Conditioning

Generally the air conditioners are activated only when the boat engine or generator is in operation, or when the ship is connected to the electricity supply on land. At overnight stays in secluded coves and small fishing villages without power supply, air conditioners are usually turned off, since it is not possible to run the generator without disturbing the night-time peace. In some ports, it may happen that the electricity supply is too weak to provide enough power for multiple ships and their air conditioning at the same time.

WiFi Internet

WiFi internet access is available. You may use this service with your own laptop, tablet or smartphone. Please note that due to technical reasons, it will not be possible to surf the internet 24/7. While network coverage according to HSPA and LTE standards is provided in almost all ports and also at sea nearby larger islands or the mainland, in the vicinity of small islands or lonely bays often only a signal according to the EDGE standard or no signal at all can be received. Furthermore, for technical reasons, the WiFi signal may not be received throughout the entire ship, but only in the saloon or on the deck behind it. WiFi may only be available when the engine or generator is running or the ship is connected to the main supply on land.

Meals on the boat

For breakfast, there will be coffee and tea, bread, butter and jam. In addition, there will a selection of some of the following foods: cold cuts, cheese, eggs and yoghurt.

For lunches and dinners, typically there will be soup or another starter, meat or fish as the main dish, and side dishes and salad, followed by dessert or fruit. A request for vegetarian food is available (please inform us at the time of booking); however, vegetarian food does not mean that a special meal is prepared; rather more side dishes (vegetables) will be served instead of meat. The preparation of special diet food is possible by exception only. Please advise us prior to making your booking if you require special diet food.

Croatia Overview

The Republic of Croatia is at the crossroads of Central Europe, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean. With more than a thousand islands off the Adriatic coast, Croatia is a “Jewel“ in the Mediterranean region. The country is an adventure-lover’s paradise, blessed with rugged mountains, crystal clear lakes and rivers, rugged canyons, and miles of pristine coastline. Croatia is divided into 20 counties with its capital city, Zagreb, being the economic, transport, cultural and academic centre of the country. Zagreb is the only metropolitan area in Croatia with a population of over one million.

You are probably far more familiar with Croatia than you realize, and we have Game of Thrones to thank for it. The show showcased Croatia’s most famous city, the walled seaside fortress of Dubrovnik, which was chosen as King’s Landing. Filming has since expanded to other Croatian cities, including Split, which is home to a Roman emperor’s retirement palace.

Croatian food and Croatian cuisine are different from one region to another. For a small country such as Croatia, it is unusual to see such a rich culinary tradition, but geographical position and historical events have left an impact on the country’s cuisine, and people in Croatia are very proud of this heritage that they nurture and enjoy on a daily basis. The coastal region is characterized by the influences of the Greeks, Romans, Illyrians and later Mediterranean cuisines – Italian and French. It features many seafood specialties (squid, cuttlefish, octopus, shrimp, lobster…) prepared in various ways.

A trip to Croatia offers breathtaking natural beauty, great swimming, lots of history, interesting architecture, incredible wine, delicious seafood, and warm, friendly and unpretentious people and nightlife.
