After breakfast, depart the hotel to take a boat ride on Sea of Galilee. Visit Capernaum where a 2nd century synagogue was discovered which threw light on the life of the community of that era. According to the Christian tradition, Jesus served here as a local rabbi and performed miracles.
Proceed to visit Tabgha; two old churches built on ancient ruins of Jewish villages commemorate the miracles of the Christian savior who fed 5000 starving people with 2 fishes and 5 loaves, cured lepers and opened blind eyes (Mathew 14: 15-20). Here you will have the chance to enjoy a traditional St Peter Fish Lunch.
On to Mount of Beatitudes; north of the Sea of Galilee, atop the Beatitudes Mount, lies a beautiful church with an octagonal dome that represents the 8 “Beatitudes” of the sermon that Jesus Christ blessed his disciples with 2000 years ago (Mathew 5: 1-12).
Drive to visit the World Heritage Site of Tel Hazor. Tel Hazor is a testimony to a civilization that has disappeared – that of the Cananean cities of the Bronze Age. It was the largest fortified area in Israel during the Israelite period (ninth century B.C.E.).
Continue to Nazareth and visit the church of Annunciation.
Drive via Cana of Galilee to visit the Baptism site of Yardenit on the Jordan River.
