Terraficionados’ website is offered to you, the customer, conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, rules, and notices contained within it. This privacy policy describes how we use personal information collected at our website, and collected by our Society Members during the travel services quotation and booking process. Our travel service suppliers will also collect personal information from you through the booking, payment, and confirmation process of your travel services. 2. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
Terraficionados collects personally identifiable information such as name and email address through the inquiry form on our website when voluntarily submitted by visitors. The information you provide in this format is used only to prompt one of our Society Members or management team to respond to your inquiry.
Terraficionados Society Members collect personally identifiable information like name, address, telephone number, and email address during the course of a quote and booking conversation. This information is used to assign the correct travelers to groups and/or to assign them to specific travel services being requested. Terraficionados may collect your credit card information verbally or in-person, either to relay it to our suppliers to process deposits and payments for travel services, or to process the credit card ourselves and remit funds to our suppliers.
Terraficionados’ Society Members may request additional personal information such as dietary requirements, physical health details, flight and passport information, and personal preferences if it is required to facilitate the booking of travel services with our suppliers. The client has the right to refuse provision of this information to Terraficionados, but may be required to provide it directly to the supplier of travel services in order to confirm their booking. 3. DISTRIBUTION OF INFORMATION
The personally identifiable information collected by Terraficionados through the quote and booking process is passed on to the suppliers of travel services at the time a booking is confirmed. Terraficionados may also share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting in fraud prevention or investigation. We may do so when (1) permitted or required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place.
The personally identifiable information collected by Terraficionados is not provided to 3rd parties for marketing purposes, but may be used by Terraficionados for its own marketing purposes from time to time.
4. COMMITMENT TO DATA SECURITY
Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorized employees, agents, and contractors (who have signed agreements to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information.
